We’re hiring a Quality Engineer to design, build, and execute effective testing strategies that ensure high-quality, reliable applications. Position Title: Senior Quality Engineer Location: Remote - Colombia What you will be doing: As a key contributor within a dynamic and expanding organization, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced testing strategies to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality applications across diverse industries. Working fully remote and collaborating closely with talented engineering teams throughout Latin America and the United States, you will leverage your advanced expertise in automated testing—particularly with Playwright and TypeScript—to create comprehensive test solutions for web, distributed, and event-driven applications, including those utilizing Angular and RESTful APIs. Your role will involve developing and maintaining robust automated test frameworks, executing unit and integration testing, and supporting the team in adopting modern automated testing and CI/CD practices. You will also engage with emerging technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS for building and maintaining automated test environments, and utilize tools like Postman for RESTful API validation. Your responsibilities will include: - Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for web and distributed applications, ensuring robust coverage across unit and integration testing levels. - Build, maintain, and optimize automated testing frameworks using Playwright and Typescript, targeting front-end (primarily Angular) and RESTful APIs to ensure high-quality, reliable product releases. - Develop and execute tests for microservices and event-driven components, leveraging AWS and related technologies when necessary. - Utilize Postman for RESTful API testing to validate and verify service functionality and performance. - Create, maintain, and enhance automated test environments using tools such as Docker or Kubernetes to support scalable and repeatable test execution. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, suggest improvements, and ensure efficient and effective test coverage throughout the development lifecycle. - Lead efforts to improve continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes, including integration of test automation within Bitbucket pipelines and promoting QA best practices. - Monitor, report, and drive improvements in quality metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, and release stability to ensure ongoing product excellence. - Contribute to the documentation of QA processes and help recommend and establish practices for test case management and tracking. - Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues encountered in various environments, including production, to minimize risk and downtime. Requirements & Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience - 4+ years of professional experience in Quality Engineering or Software Testing - Advanced proficiency in developing and maintaining automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript - Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing for front-end applications, primarily targeting Angular (other frameworks also valued) - Proven ability to implement automated testing for RESTful web applications, utilizing tools such as Postman - Experience creating and maintaining automated test environments, including using Docker or Kubernetes - Familiarity with QA practices in CI/CD pipelines and related tools such as Jira and Bitbucket - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on troubleshooting complex technical issues - Ability to collaborate effectively within fast-paced, distributed teams, Why you will love Lean Tech: - Join a powerful tech workforce and help us change the world through technology - Professional development opportunities with international customers - Collaborative work environment - Career path and mentorship programs that will lead to new levels.
